Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Tea. By creating an account or using Tea, you agree to them and to our Community Guidelines.

Using Tea

You must provide accurate registration information, keep control of your account, and use Tea lawfully. You may not impersonate others, evade enforcement, manipulate contact networks, scrape the service, disrupt its operation, or use it to harm people.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give Tea a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, moderate, distribute, and display that content as needed to operate and promote the service. You are responsible for having the rights to what you post.

Anonymous does not mean unaccountable

Your public identity is hidden from other users, but Tea maintains an internal account identity. We may limit distribution, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or preserve and disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary for safety.

Tokens and purchases

Tokens may enable distribution features such as Boost or Freeze. They never override moderation. Purchases are also governed by the app store that processes them. Except where required by law or platform policy, completed token purchases and spent tokens are not refundable.

SMS verification

When you request a verification code, you consent to receive a transactional text message from Tea at the phone number you provide. Message frequency varies based on your requests, and message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. You can also contact hello@trytea.app. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Service availability

Tea is provided “as is” and may change, experience interruptions, or discontinue features. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tea disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Ending use

You can stop using Tea or request account deletion at any time. Tea may restrict or terminate access for violations, safety risks, legal requirements, or threats to the service. Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
