Be candid. Don’t turn anonymity into a weapon.
Tea welcomes uncomfortable truths, confessions, opinions, jokes, and messy conversations. It does not welcome content designed to expose, threaten, exploit, or relentlessly target people.
Allowed
- Profanity, personal confessions, adult relationship discussions, and strong opinions.
- Criticism of workplaces, communities, public figures, and institutions.
- Anonymized gossip and provocative questions that do not identify or endanger private people.
Not allowed
- Threats, encouragement of violence, or glorification of serious harm.
- Doxxing, private contact information, precise locations, or attempts to identify an anonymous author.
- Severe or repeated harassment, coordinated abuse, hate, or targeted humiliation.
- Sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate content, or sexual content involving minors.
- Impersonation, scams, spam, or manipulation of contacts and engagement.
- Serious damaging allegations about identifiable private people.
Enforcement
We may warn, limit, hold, contain, quarantine, or remove content. We may reduce distribution, suspend features, or remove accounts. High-risk and appealed decisions may receive human review. Paid features never override safety decisions.
Your safety tools
Reporting and blocking are always free. Reports are private and do not reveal you to the author. Blocking prevents the two accounts from seeing each other’s future eligible content without revealing either identity. Eligible moderation decisions can be appealed in Settings.
Urgent situations
